Sunday July 21 hike on trails near Clark Pond
Meeting time: 1:30 PM.
Place: New London, Bog Road downhill from Old Main Street, not far from Exit 11 off I-89.
This is an EASY 1.5 mi. walk on short trails built over the past 3 years on land acquired by the Town of New London and placed in a permanent conservation easement with Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust (ASLPT).
Clark Pond and Messer Pond in New London are part of a watershed that feeds into Lyon Brook south of NH 11 and then to Kezar Lake in North Sutton. It is a beautiful, short trail system along lowlands tucked between the Town business district on NH 114 and the I-89 corridor. Count the number of bridges Dan and his helpers have built along the trails. Dan will be out of town until Saturday. His phone: 763-5320. No need to call. Just show up.
